It all started when I was in elementary school. It was in my 6th grade language arts class taught by Mr. Lee. That class usually followed right after lunch. After having just played handball with my friends, I would usually run in right after the second bell. During one particular class, Mr. Lee announced that our school district was going to participate in a national creative competition. The rules were simple: there would be a universal topic and each of us was allowed to use either words (essays/poems) or artwork to express what the topic meant to us… in our own interpretation. The goal was to be creative. The topic for the competition?… you guessed it, “What if…” |
