ManPossible is back atcha with another product from Origins.  As you’ll remember from our previous post on the company’s Night-A-Mins product, a nighttime cream, Origins specializes in natural skincare products.  Today, we’d like to bring your attention to a daytime skin cream product.  Think of it as the yang to the yin that is Night-A-Mins.

Plantscription SPF 25 is the object of our attention today.  This product is an anti-aging skin cream intended for daily use, and helps to keep your skin looking more youthful and less wrinkly.  We recommend applying it after washing your face, near the tail end of your morning clean-up routine, as you prepare to leave your man pad.  (And before the sunscreen goes on, if you feel that you need more protection for your face than the SPF 25 you get with this product.)  That having been said, we think the sun protection provided by Plantscription is sufficient, unless you live in a very hot climate, or are laboring outside all day.

The product, which contains raspberry stem cells in addition to the active ingredients listed on the jar, is off-white in color and a little bit thicker than that pressurized whipped cream you get in a can.  Word to the wise: unlike the aerosol whipped cream, Plantscription may not be the best choice to deploy in a, shall we say, “recreational manner” with your significant other.  But to each his own, and to each her own – so if Plantscription tastes yummy to you and/or to your other half, well then, you kids go crazy.  As always, there’s no judgment here at ManPossible….

Using this product is easy breezy.  Just dab Plantscription on the areas where you most need it for wrinkle control and sun damage – forehead, nose, cheeks, ears, etc. – and massage it gently into your skin.  The product has a faint, fruit-influenced scent, and sits lushly on your skin without being too heavy or greasy.  It lasts pretty well through a full day, unless you wash your face during the day.  In that case, the product will wash off, and you may want to re-apply it.

Plantscription SPF 25 comes in a compact, circular plastic container containing 1.7 oz . of product.  The screw-on top of the jar is a muted gold color, and the container itself is a shade of green that falls somewhere between sage and jade.  As with most Origins products, the company’s logo, two side-by-side trees, is front and center on the container, in a shade of white that matches the color of the product inside.  The jar is a space-saver, and will fit snugly into a medicine cabinet, or other bathroom storage area.

This product is available at Origins retail locations, within large department stores, or at numerous online sites, including origins.com, of course.  The price tag for Plantscription SPF 25 is steep at $55 for a jar, which will last 2-3 months, depending on how much you apply each morning.  We’ve said it once, and we’ll say it again – it hurts to be beautiful….
