Greetings and salutations fellow MP dudes and dudettes.  Before we dive into our usual shenanigans, I’d like to make a few announcements.  As of Thursday, 8/20, I’ve officially parted ways with my beloved 1993 “Classic Red” Mazda Miata aka “Mia”.  As much as I love(d) Mia, the timing and circumstances did not allow for the two of us to be together.  While the world is buzzing over our separation, life must go on!  I am also happy to say that Mia found a partner who will really give her the attention she rightfully deserves.  With these changes, it was only appropriate that I finally wrap up the 3-part stick shift masterpiece.

So you’ve just finished reading Part 1 of “Working Your Stick” and now you’re all pumped up with excitement.  Your first instinct was to hit up YouTube and spend countless hours watching videos of people talking/teaching about how to actually drive a stick shift.  Before you move further by breaking that piggy bank and rushing out to get a manual transmission car, let us give you some additional insights and food for thought.

The rule is simple:  Survive!

Here’s the scene:

The year is 2015, the post-apocalyptic future, an alternative universe.  It’s hot!  The temperature outside is well in the high 90s.  A 360 degree peek reveals nothing but dirt, sand, and mile after mile of barren land.  In this place, there are no rules; humanity is driven into chaos, and the means of power isn’t symbolized by money, but rather by one single commodity - oil!  In this hellfire driven society, those who posses this scarce resource rule the land.
