10/7/2013 0 Comments 'til smell do us partOver the weekend I had the privilege of attending a good friend’s wedding. I want to point out that it is every man’s duty to give moral support for one of our own as he faces the biggest day of his life. So here I am, suited and booted, looking sharp and standing tall, as we face that life changing moment together. This normally isn’t my style, but for this special occasion I came armed with my trusty sidekick: Calvin Klein Eternity Aqua Cologne.
To be honest, I’m not much of a fragrance guy. Sure, I wear deodorant when participating in sports or other perspiring activities, but if I can get away from smelling like rainbows and butterflies I would. Don’t get me wrong, I am very hygienic and shower at least once a day. I’m just not a huge fan of spraying myself with a weird scent on a daily basis. “It’s all natural here baby, what you smell is what you get. Believe me, this is all ‘man’ right here.” This however, was not your typical day. This was a wedding! The dinner ceremony had 40 tables, which equates to a rough estimate of 400 guests. Boy was I glad I came prepared. On the day of the wedding I reached into my drawer and went straight for that crystal clear blue glass bottle of CK Eternity Aqua. As the name suggests, the packaging is sleek and stylish. The bottle has a touch of modern design with a simple yet captivating appeal of elegance. For those who are not familiar with how to properly spray on fragrance, please follow the instructions below:
What attracted me to CK Eternity Aqua is the scent itself. What I’ve found with most name brand fragrances is that they are all too overpowering and come off way too strong. Part of being classy is to be considerate about the people around us. As much as I want to stand out in the crowd, I’m not going to overindulge and poison the crowd. The scent of Aqua is light and aromatic, giving off a moderate fragrance of citrus and the fresh breeze of the sea. As the product states, “Eternity Aqua has a rich, appealing construction with a complex variety of essences including green leaves, lavender, white cedar, musk, chilled cucumber and water lotus". In the words of a man with average vocabulary, this stuff simply smells awesome! Unlike most commercial products, a generous spray of this elixir does not mean the smell will cling to you for a week. The scent will lighten as one progresses through his day and eventually fading away to leave behind a faint trace of that reminiscing aura. Imagine going to a party and leaving a part of you behind (for that girl you chatted with at the bar) to remember you by… Another appeal of this product is how the fragrance easily lends itself to both casual and formal occasions. This is not your macho Old Spice or your polo playing, Ralph Lauren. Simply put, it’s like attending a wedding; a serious yet light hearted occasion that’s meant for everyone. I am very pleased with what Calvin Klein did with the Eternity Aqua Cologne; it is by far one of my top fragrance choices. If you are looking to impress that significant other or simply want to leave a mark, definitely check out this puppy. I assure you it will not let you down on those special occasions… Let’s just say I left the wedding feeling just as good as the groom. by ManPossible
