10/28/2013 0 Comments Ooh La La! MonsieurI’ve always had the impression that the sole existence of soap was meant for washing your hands and cleaning your face. There is no way such a small bar could completely rid one’s entire body of dirt. Because of that, I jump at any chance I get to use shower gel over soap…
Here I stand, butt naked with my face in the pouring falls of the shower head. To most, this is just another typical shower for another typical day. For me, this is where I do most of my thinking. A good refreshing shower is my way of clearing my thoughts and coming up with new ideas. Today’s million dollar question: “What should the next article of ManPossible be?” In case you’re wondering, I’m going to confess and tell you that most of my ingenious ideas occur to me while I’m in the bathroom. As I pull myself out of the waterfall with that same question in mind, I decide it would be much more productive if I were to apply some body wash. As I turned around to reach for my usual shower gel, I was surprised to see in its place a small bar of soap, half the size of a snickers bar! Ok, which one of you mofos used up my shower gel?!?! In desperation, I went for that midget size bar and decided to kick some ass when I get out of the shower. Once I took a look at the bar of soap, a grin flashed across my face… Gentlemen, I give you the next product of our ManPossible article: nugget soap from Paris… Paris Casino & Resort, Las Vegas! There’s a funny story here. My dad’s a huge fan of Vegas; he’d go 2 – 3 times a month depending on the occasion. He’s your typical diamond status cardholder and stayed in pretty much all the casinos on the strip. The guy has a habit of bringing home souvenirs every trip: we have pillows from Aria, toilet paper from Ceasar’s Palace and in my room sits a trash can from MGM. Today’s soap was no surprise. Rolling eyes! This nugget bar of lard sits quite well in the hands. It’s white in color with the signature Eiffel Tower image & “Paris” (Casino & Resort) logo engraved on the surface. Putting it close to my nose, the soap gives off that typical off-the-shelf fragrance smell. Unlike most name brand shower gels, this bar of soap does not leave the user with a smooth and silky skin. On the contrary, areas where the soap comes into contact, it tends to be dry and rough. To my surprise, I actually find it much better that way. With the skin being a bit rougher than usual, it became much easier for me to scrub and rid the body of dead skin cells. The soap has a similar effect to hair, once it’s been soaped and rinsed the texture of the strands feels a lot more rigid and rough. If you have conditioner in hand I definitely recommend applying, to get that silky feel. Lastly, when you step out of the shower, your body feels a bit dry. It really depends on the individual, if you want to give your skin a bit of moisture and smoothness, go ahead and apply some lotion. As for me, I prefer to leave the skin a bit dry as it will build up moisture and oil as I get through my day. What a surprise! Who would have thought such a measly piece of work could do so much.?!?! To add insult to injury, this bar of soap is from Paris Las Vegas! I am definitely stunned; in a good way. I won’t ever judge a cleaning agent by its size or the “logo”, ever again. On a side note, the next time I run out of ideas for ManPossible, I think I’m going to share the story of how I got that MGM trash can. by ManPossible
