I Mus-ta-che For Your Favorite Drink

Welcome to another addition of ManPossible awesomeness!

Today we are going to discuss a topic near and dear to my heart:  Grooming and Alcohol.  Yes Sir.  Grooming and Alcohol!

Your boy, moi, has an acquired taste for Scotch.  Something about observing, inhaling, and indulging this divine liquid brings an out of this world experience to the recipient.  When consuming this magical juice of the gods, one’s senses can pick up the distinctive climate, geographical location, age, ingredient and temperature that goes into the birth of the individual beverage.  I can go on and on about this topic, but we will leave that for another day.

Today we have another topic in mind.  This topic actually came up while I was enjoying a fine glass of scotch and striking up a conversation with an acquaintance.  We were deep in our confession and admiration for this fine drink when the other person diverted the topic to his freshly trimmed beard.  All of a sudden my eyes lit up and the light bulb went off over my head!  I have stumbled upon a ManPossible hypothesis:  There is a positive correlation between the girthiness of one’s facial hair and the desire for stronger tasting alcohol! [awkward].

While sitting at the bar in observance, I noticed men with beards tend to order darker, more flavorful Ale beers.  The same can be spoken when it comes to scotch.  Those with thicker facial hair have a higher propensity of ordering scotch with a rougher “kick”.   While this hypothesis may or may not be true, one CAN train and transform his actions to be part of the elites of grooming and drinking.  Just like most things in life, one starts with an action, it then transitions to a behavior, and finally establishes a habit / routine.  It all starts here at ManPossible!
