The art of plucking, trimming and removing facial hair might usually start with a good razor or a decent pair of scissors, but sometimes you’ll need a more specialized tool to get the job done.
Rounded Tip Tweezers - Rounded Tip Tweezers merit a brief mention as we tour the Tweezer Pantheon.  Although at first glance they look somewhat similar to the Pointy Tip Tweezers, we’d like to clarify that the Rounded Tip Tweezers aren’t ideal for all hair removal jobs, e.g., eyebrows.  These tweezers’ distinction is the rounded tip at the end of each half of the body.  But it can also be the worst feature about these tweezers.  It’s good to think of these tweezers along similar lines as the safety scissors featured in our “Series #3 – Scissors” article.  The rounded tip does NOT allow for much precision when it comes to gripping and plucking those individual fine hairs.  Like the Flat Tip Tweezers, this particular tool is generally good for removing thicker facial hairs.  As such, it can be useful for grooming beards and mustaches.

Curved Tip Tweezers - The Curved Tip Tweezers are straight from the doctor’s office -- or a horror movie.  These tweezers are identified by their uniquely curved tips.  What differentiates these tweezers from the others is the level of precision they provide.  Due to the thin and curved tip, the user enjoys better accuracy when pin-pointing specific hairs for removal.  These tweezers’ angled tips also allow you to see what you’re plucking away.  This tool is great for shaping eyebrows, or removing ingrown hairs.

Twist-n-Roll Tweezers - To end this article on a light note, we present to you the Twist-n-Roll Tweezers.  This baby is a new line of invention designed to make the tweezing experience more uniform and less of a hassle.  For those of you who are thinking this pair could pass for your girlfriend’s “personal” toy, we suggest you stop right there.  We at MP are way ahead of you and have had our share of “Ah Ha’s”.  So before you introduce this device into your bedroom, you should know that the purpose of this invention is to remove hair via a threading technique.  You start by bending both ends of this tool and placing it against your skin.  From there you proceed to roll the ends of the handles, and the coils will move slowly against your skin and remove the hair from the roots.  Because this is such a unique tool, we plan on doing a deeper dive, so be sure check back on future MP posts!

Well, there you have it!  The art of plucking, trimming and removing facial hair might usually start with a good razor or a decent pair of scissors, but sometimes you’ll need a more specialized tool to get the job done.  If you haven’t already invested in a pair of tweezers that will help you on your groom-quest, we highly recommend you do so.
