Jāsön – and by the way, we really, really, really love is a long mark and an umlaut when we can find them – is a subsidiary of Hain Celestial Co. Not long ago, Hain was a mid-sized food and packaged goods company known primarily for its Celestial Seasonings teas and a few other natural foods brands and personal care products. Today it’s a $4B+ company with a stable of brands, and strong opportunities for future growth as the world continues to go organic. So, while Hain is not huge enough to rival the juggernauts in this space, it’s now one of the 800-lb gorillas in its niche. Jāsön fits into the Hain family perfectly, with its roots as a California company that has emphasized natural ingredients over chemicals in its personal care products since the late 1950’s, when the company was founded.
Jāsön’s Sport Sunscreen comes in a compact, 4-oz headstand tube with a flip-top cap. It fits as well in your medicine cabinet as it will in your beach bag. Orange, blue and white are the main colors used for the background and printing on the tube. The tube has a modern beach type of look with a combination of a sans serif font for most of the lettering on the tube, with a modified cursive font used for the word “Sun” on the front. All in all, it’s an attractive presentation in a simple, practical container.
The Sport Sunscreen is relatively easy to find. With Hain’s strong reach into groceries, pharmacies and especially natural products stores, you should be able to find it on shelves near you. And if not, there’s always the “internets.”
